Zoo Pictures store below

Resent trip to the zoo

The zoo is a pretty close to us and really cheap. So when ever the children do not have school for some reason we like to take them.

It seems that every time we have went lately there has been a problem with my pictures. Once our computer crashed and once I erased them thinking they where already down loaded on the computer but they where not.

So this time I was cautious and got some published before any thing happened to them. Now I have to copy them to a disk.

Anyway some time we just run through the zoo to get back for lunch but the children love getting out. I personally love seeing the birds because they are animals I have never seen before. Lots of Cambodia's wildlife is going extinct and are endangered.

The beautiful chicken picture posted is called the Angkor Wat chicken because it is carved on some of the walls of the temples from a thousand years ago.

Really I am surprised it is still a live to day. Like so many other beautiful birds that have gone extincted it to is endangered. You would think God made these animals hardest for us to get too, that bird would be most abundant in the world. But maybe since they are harder for us to kill that we have may it our mission to do so. I do not know. I do how ever realize the want to see it all the time. I would love to have them running around the property here so I could see the every day. I love fish tanks also I can sit there for hours just watching them. Sometimes for their color and some times because they swim. The other world with in this earth fascinate me.

So each time I go to this zoo I try and get a better picture of the chicken. One day it might be the last one I see.

I had the thought while we where at the zoo with the large amount of children we have that we have brought them out of their zoo to see another, but that is not true. They are so well behaved and could not at all be considered animals. Not like other groups we have met.

I try and get pictures of each child so all the sponsors can see their child but it is hard. Some of our children just stand out. I take lots of pictures but some are just not fun to look at, the sun might be in their face and they are squinting are they turn there head as the camera snaps or they are just shy. I have to push myself and spend the time getting picture of all the children and with this many it seems to be hard to do. We almost need a person to work here just taking pictures.

We just had a Barbecue put on by Amy. She bought clams, and shrimp, a beef and other good stuff. We had all of Reams family come as well. So there was about 50 of us I guess. It was a lot of fun we played all night in the yard.

We are repairing to have the teachers over for a lunch in the future so we will see how that goes.

We are also doing a Friday night bible study with the older children. I don't remember if I have mentioned it before. We leave it open for who ever is interested can come.

Last Friday we showed them the book we bought Showing picture and time lines of the artifacts of the bible. This kind of book or teaching material is very good for us because it gives the children a visual of what we are talking about in the bible. It also brings some facts and tangible truths to them to help them tell others and strengthen their own beliefs.

Trip to the States

1. Talking.

2. Thank yous.

3. Trip.

4. January.

5. Whats to come 2008.

1. Well, with a lot to do I am sure glad we had the 3 weeks to do it. Though it flew by seemingly ending before it got started we got about 90% of our tasks done.

We where pretty happy with the trip and what we accomplished.

As our area of San Diego was struck hard with fires and our church had many people pass away this year. We where happy to share what God is doing with our church here. We hoped for renewal, to lift spirits and share and I think we did that.

I know from many peoples responses it was encouraging for them to hear the success that we are having and that it is directly because of them.

I realized that our church being an older generation did not always have access to what was going on because so much is done on computer. But I have to everyone a hand for supporting us anyway. I think there is a lot of strength and faith for those who give with out update or eye candy. To keep giving when it is hard and when you know little about the project say a lot to me.

We will also try our best to get more information out through mailers our hand outs this year so everyone will know as much as they wish.

2. I have to thank Ruth and Glenn who have been so much help to us these past years. They, prayerfully are opening doors to other churches in Virginia. They have been very good friends to us and more like parents. Thank you to everyone who showed up to help them move, what a great blessing that was for them.

Thank you Liz for putting us up after Ruth and Glenn had left. It feels a little odd to have a friend waiting on you and giving up the bed for you. But that is a what friendship is and Christin's should do. It is great that our church staff are good Godly people.

Thank you very much to Carl and Marylin for your car while we where there, it was a mighty help to us. You two have been a wonderful couple to us, Godly and full of energy. Thank you so much for helping me with the finances this past year. You phone calls and communication with us was very helpful in keeping us going.

3. Much of our time when to speaking with people at different places and different times. We had lots of good meals and sat in some good bible studies. We where thankful to speak at church and the youth center.

We spent time camping for a weekend at my dads' up North. We saw lots of wild life. We had a fish drop out of the sky from a bird that flew over head. The children love it running around all over. Joseph's cheeks got a little chapped from the cold weather but nothing stopped his energy.

It was nice to relax there for a week.

Then it was back to speaking and dinning and meeting and sharing.

We also attended the mission conference for a couple of days. I know we heard a lot of good things from a lot of good speakers.

4. When we got back it was a very big welcome from the children we where so happy to be home with so many children to love and be love by. Things had gone so well while we where gone. Some of their studies had slipped while others had improved.

I am so proud to tell you all that 3 children are number 1 in the class 2 of them being number 1 for the first time. 1 of the girls has been selected to go to a competition for best student with the opportunity to win prizes. Wow she went from 34 to number 1 in 4 months.

We started to eat the fish that are 10-12 inches now, they have grown about 2 inches a month. We started to eat the ducks as the water in the pond begins to run down.

We had more baby rabbits also.

Just a small list of things we need this year.

More Dinning tables

Screens for the hall ways

A list of things we would like to have;

The children have asked for a BIG trampoline

Pressure cooker and 3 dozen canning jars

Hand ice cream maker

Small animal ear tags and piercer

48 rabbit water bottles

Cost co car port

Old lap tops

Old but good Video Camera

money for used Bikes for school

Teams and volunteers to come

5. 2008, We have a lot of people wanting to come contact us or the church

C. C. Fallbrook there is a link on this page.

Stay informed, help others who do not have a computer by printing the blog out.

We have a web site coming.

This year we will take in 18 children.

Taking in more requires help outside of our church.

Also helping out with the cost with supporting more than just the children.

We have a medical clinic that is in the planning and we are raising funds for it, we have about $12,000. out of the $100,000 needed.

There is a lot of work and vision for the future here. We are happy to do it.
