Summer is almost over

Well I just got back from Hawaii on "business". I went to visit and thank a church; South Shore Christian Fellowship where Bud Stonebraker is the head pastor. Pastor Stonebraker has been like family to me and my wife for a while.
SSCF made a donation to us and allowed us to share with them about our work here.
I was so thankful for the wonderful response we received by the congregation.
We are so thankful to invite SSCF to be apart of this work and can't wait to see the blessing it brings us both.
This is China mans hat. This picture shows we where not all business. We stayed with an incredible couple from Oregon.

I liked this picture because I noticed Bud's reflection in the left window watching the slide show during Pastor Pat's presentation.
Bud was kind enough to let me share on Sunday and Pastor Pat share on Wednesday night.
Lunch time.
Joe got in line and waited his turn, he held up his hands to thank the cook for his food. Except Chow stepped up and took the plate, it was his turn and chow did not see Joe standing there. The next picture would have shown Joe throwing himself on the floor crying. It was so cute to see him copy the other children and get so upset when it did not work for him.
Anyway Chow stopped and helped Joe up and led him to the dinning room where Joe sat down and shared his rice. As you can see in this picture. Joe loves eating with Chow. No wonder Joe is getting fat and Chow is still skinny. :)

Joseph loves getting out and helping with the chores.
He likes to feed the rabbits and make mom run.

We welcome Nite and Bothey (Bow Tee) to the family
Nite is 10 and Bothey is 14 years old and they are brother and sister.


We have 5 more baby pigs to make 20. We are looking at selling most of them off in a week or so but by then our next sow below is expected to give birth. She is looking out for the food.
She is about 5 feet long and 3 feet high. The wall she gets up on is 3 feet high, so she is a big mom.
Tate cooks rice for the mom pig to help her recover from delivery.
Nyng is cleaning out the pens with Kyo and Bothey.

Last month we changed how the children care for the animals and who cares for them.
To make things easier on them and on me we put the children into groups and now they have a little of each animal to care for in stead of caring for one kind of animal for a month and then rotating. This gives the children more control of what job they wish to to which day they want to do it.
We are also going to try and give the children a little bonus when their animal produces or sells. This will hopefully get them more involved and to care more for the health and well being of their animals.

Before to many things were going unnoticed.
So far the children really like this plan and every thing is going well.
Our land is now filled with unchoi. The children eat it a lot of stir fry and the pigs eat it to. The change from planting a big gardens to just unchoi helps reduce food cost for the animals and the children but also help reduce the labor so we can concentrate on the animals for now. As the animal all begin to produce we will be able to afford a helper and then we will make changes to the garden again.

Our Children have had 3 months of music classes and they are now leading worship at church. We have a drummer, pianist and a guitar player. Which is amazing I had no idea how well they would do when they started. They also learned a new dance that they will get to preform in November.

Chi did it; he read through his 5th and 6th grade books and is working on 7th. The principle is helping us advance him the 2 grades if he passes the test this week. Chi is also the one who has learned to play the guitar this Summer. Please pray for Chi that God will bless all his hard work and determination.

We also hired a new nanny, but then we decide to send her back to school. She left after 10th grade because dad was sick. So we figured to give her the chance to go back and finish if she can. Which is huge for her future, her family never thought this would happen. It is also great for us, we hope she will gain good math skills and learn more so when she graduates we will hire her as a guardian that will be a greater help to the children.

It is these kinds of things that I really love. We have the chance to change a girl's live for ever, it makes Ream and I so happy to do these things and in the end it help us to.

Oh also a group cam through to do some filming of the village and some of our children got to be in it. They also got a little bit of money for it, which is cool.

There is probably a lot I am forgetting but it is late so I will let you know more later.
