The major lightning storms the other night. This is around 2 in the morning. Lots of rain most of the property was flooded that night and the children caught about a dozen fish crawling on the ground. The thunder and lightning lasted all night and there was no sleep to be had.

Summer is over.
I was ready for the children to go back to school we have been so busy with them home. Then the first day I miss them and the place is to quiet.

We had a pretty good summer helping the children advance for this year. 3 of our children are skipping a grade to get them caught up. All the children are proficient in the grade they are going to. And our two little ones age 5 started 1st grade.

They children learned a traditional dance about the harvest.
Some started to learn play guitar, drums and flutes.
We are still looking for a piano and a traditional violin teacher.
They got to go to the beach, zoo and some old ruined temples.
Some of them celebrated their first birthday ever.

They also received their incentive prizes for this quarter.

Our animals a producing,
We had 12 baby pigs and the market is very good to sell right now.
We had 7 baby rabbit be born.
And three baby ducks.
Also our fish in 2 months have grown 8 inches.

We have had some staff changes again probably not the last time either.
Peah is on the Left and Own is on the Right
Here is a picture of our 2 new girls and their care taker.
They names are Jon and On. So we are up to 5 now and waiting for more.

Bible programs have started again. We had a little brake due to the dance teacher.

We played some games during the birthday party.
We had teams where they had to pass the bottle from one bucket to the next using their mouth which was a lot of fun for them.
We also played a traditional New Year game. Instead of using the game board we used our selves running from one place to another rolling cubes to see who won some candy.

We are trying to make it home in January I believe but we will see. Staff and teams will play a part in when we go. We would like to be home for a month because it seems after two years there is a lot to do.
Ream’s sister is in the states right now living in Pennsylvania for a year learning Administration skills. We hope she will make it out the same time we are there.

Things here at the orphanage are going really well, the country also seem to be improving. The big scary election is around the corner, but it is being down graded from scary. The political parties have spilt back into groups they came from with a few new ones.

Also the country is trying to control some Christian groups. Their have been a few bad representatives here that are making it hard on others.
We have known for quite a while you can not really street whiteness here. You can but it has to be really low key. If you do not harass people or create a seen and you’re fine. You also should avoid doing it around temples or government buildings like the palace.

I think all is fine.
I have seen some groups in America that I thought should be ban. They where caring coffins and crosses telling people are were going to hell and burn. It was a very shocking display for me to see.

The government is making news by cracking down on NGO that are profiting or taking advantage of people or the government.

We have had to speak with local officials about being Christian and what we do. At first it seemed scary. With all of this happening this month it seems that the place might go communist again. But doing that is suicide for them. They would throw themselves back into very bad poverty and it is bad already.

I know there is way too much money coming in for them to close the doors. These same reports and problems where in the news back in 1999.

What we have to pray is that the good upright Christians are protected and are not affected by the people stepping out of line. There is plenty of good work going on and the harvest is being reaped.

Over all we can hope to see the Government continue to improve and it relations with Christian groups continue to grow.

Sorry for being to political or anything like that. There has been some concerns out there about what is happening and I do not think it is much to worry about right now.

Thanks for taking time to look and keeping involved.

Thank you Sandy Scott for the quilt. the fabric was beautiful and the girls in the house where amazed at the stitching.

2 Days at the beach many children it was their first time to the beach.

Mom sent the children some overalls so I put mine on to.

Don had brought some Frisbees.
Richard brought a tether ball. They play with it every day still.

Just before their show. I though they where unbelievably cute.

We caught 3 cobras this year around the house. It is the first time I got to see one. We show the children from a safe distance so they would have their curiosity fulfilled then we disposed of them.

We have 8 children waiting to come most of them girls. One family was referred to us because they where on the news. When you make the news here for being poor that’s pretty bad.

Thursday bible for pre teen

A very kind team from Australia came and spent some time with us. It was pretty hot out but they where good sports and played with the children.

Children playing tug a war. Hua with a nice big smile.

This game is like Steal the Bacon instead of 2 children I put 4 in it was quite fun.

Then we had races to the candy bucket. One candy 2 buckets to make it fare on the slow children. Some times the fast children get there first but choose the wrong bucket. Melor kept picking the same small child to race but each time he got there first he chose the wrong bucket and Tee ended up winning. It got pretty funny after a while.

Some new snakes one I think is a boa and I am not sure of the other, but they call it a house snake. It is about the only snake the people can stand. It eats the mice and is left to live.

Team interaction

We are really pushing some our children that are two or more grades behind to catch up like Ve Chi. He was used for labor with the last family he was with. He is turning 14 this year and just finished 2nd grade. His second grade level was more like Kindergarten or first grade. He does not know anything. I think he does not like school because he is in class with children half his age. Anyway we are pushing him to not only repeat the second grade but advance. We told him where ever grade he is competent in by the time school starts that is where he will be. So he is doing his best. He has learned his alphabet and to read and write. He might make 2nd grade now, so will are pushing Math now. We would love to start him in 4th or more but I think that is really pushing it.
Ve Chi could use your prayers as he studies he gets head aches a lot. I told him he is exercising a muscle he has not used before so it is going to hurt. :)

I like it when the children are out of school we have more fun and they learn more. Their time is well spent all day. I know they are enjoying themselves as well.

I want to tell everyone that we are trying too get a calendar out this year to support the work here and to be aware of it coming out to you can buy from us and give to you friends and family. If it goes well we will do one every year. The price should be around $10 which is cheaper than most.
I will let you know when it is out and where to order it. I will also post a preview of the pictures the will be in it.

Also we are scheduled to get a satellite Internet so my posting will increase in the future.I know things have gotten stale at this page and I can only apologize but we are busy and have not gotten into town really this month. If you email us at Kitandream@gmail.com and let us know we will put you on an alert for when we do post a blog so you do not waste time going our place for nothing

We would like to thank the sponsors for the letters to the children they crave it. The ones who received where so happy and will try and get letters back to you with this team. Also thank you to all who sent gifts or letters to My family. Thank you all.
